Khojaly: Photo Exhibition
Step into the profound narrative of remembrance at our poignant photo exhibition, ‘We Have Not Forgotten Khojaly,’ presented by the Azerbaijani-American Women’s Association. Journey with us as we honor the memory of the victims of the Khojaly Genocide, an unforgettable tragedy that unfolded on February 26th, 1992, forever etched as ‘A Tragedy of One Night.’
Join us on February 26th, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at Ralph Bunche Park, nestled at the intersection of 1st Ave. & E 42nd ST., New York, NY 10017. Through a collection of evocative photographs, we’ll pay homage to the innocent lives lost and families shattered during this senseless act of aggression by Armenia.
As we gather, let us remember, reflect, and unite in raising awareness about the Khojaly Genocide. Together, we vow to ensure that the voices of the victims echo through history, never to be silenced, and advocate tirelessly for justice for this heartbreaking chapter.
613 souls departed, among them 63 children, 106 women, and the elderly at 70. Eight families left in ruins, 25 children orphaned, 130 children deprived of a parent, 487 wounded, 1,275 shattered dreams, and 150 individuals still unaccounted for. Their stories, captured in each frame, urge us to never forget. Join us as we honor their memory and strive for a world where such atrocities are never repeated.
