Minavvar Vahabova

President

Meet the President of AAAO, Minavvar Vahabova, a dynamic force shaping the organization's trajectory with passion and dedication. Mina's roots run deep in the cultural tapestry of the South Caucasus, igniting her lifelong commitment to preserving and promoting Azerbaijani heritage.

Samir Novruzov

Vice President

Samir Novruzov, a highly accomplished engineer and writer from Baku, Azerbaijan, serves as the president of the "United States-Azerbaijan Center of Integration." He aids new Azerbaijani immigrants in Houston, Texas, facilitating their integration into American life. He provides guidance, resources, and community support to newcomers, fostering a sense of belonging and integration.

Tarlan Ahmadov

Treasurer

An Azerbaijani-American, alongside his wife, made their home in Maine in 2003. Now, as a board member of the Alliance of Azerbaijani American Organizations, his mission is to champion Azerbaijani culture, strengthen community ties to their homeland, and foster collaboration among diverse groups. For him, community service is a sacred duty, driven by a commitment to social improvement.

Nargiz Aliyarova

Board Member

A captivating pianist from New York, mesmerizes audiences globally, from Lincoln Center to Carnegie Hall. With awards, a Doctor of Art degree, and scholarly works under her belt, she's also a trailblazer, founding The National Music & Global Culture Society. As President of The Zonta Club of New York, she's a leader in global empowerment.

Ali Askerov

Board Member

Dr. Ali Askerov specializes in ethno-political conflicts, mediation, peace education, and conflict transformation, focusing on refugee issues and structural violence. His recent research explores forced migration, refugee challenges, Russia's policies, Middle Eastern politics, and identity dynamics. With seven books and numerous influential articles, he aims to make a meaningful impact in his field's discourse.

Nabat Eminova

Secretary

Nabat Eminova serves as the Secretary of AAAO (Alliance of Azerbaijani American Organizations) while also holding the position of Founder and President of the Azerbaijani American Youth Association. Currently pursuing a degree in Psychology at Nova Southeastern University, she is passionate about community engagement and youth empowerment.
